An outstanding British academic with over 15 years of UK HEI involvement in teaching, managing, and developing multidisciplinary UG and PG programmes. Over his fast-expanding career, Dr. Syed has led academic teams in UK Higher Education Institutes to create multi-million pound generating programmes. In one of his current UK HEI appointments, he is managing academic programmes of an esteem UK university’s School of Leadership and Management with an estimated faculty budget of £150m and the school budget of £98m. He has also brought AACSB school membership for the university making the university the 100th AACSB Member School of the UK. He is also appointed by the OFS (Office for Students), a non-departmental public body of the Department for Education, a department of His Majesty's Government, UK, to be a member of the Quality Investigations Committee scrutinising the quality of UK universities. He is also an advisor to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), UK. He sits on the panel responsible for creating the Subject Benchmark Statement for Business and Management to be followed by all UK universities in creating Postgraduate and Undergraduate programmes. He has one senior fellowship and three fellowships from some of the most prestigious learned societies in the UK, namely RSA, RAS, HEA and SET. Syed is a strong public speaker and is passionate about disseminating world-leading research to a broader audience, including UK universities, learned societies, scholarly conferences, and international agencies such as the UN. In recent years he has delivered 20 conference presentations, wrote 8 peer-reviewed journal articles and reports. Dr. Syed's reputation as an influential academic led to his invitation to present his findings on the UK government's progress on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 and 16 at the House of Lords in 2022. Dr. Syed's remarkable academic career and exceptional contributions to his field have positioned him as a leading figure in UK Higher Education. His expertise, leadership, and dedication to disseminating research have made a significant impact on academia and policymaking, ensuring a positive influence on the development of sustainable practices and education.
